15"/35cm, 2019, Zotty, a favorite classic since 1951 has won many a childs heart. Including the heart of Margarete Steiff's great,great,great nephew Peter Hotz, the current CEO of Steiff. At the age of three, Peter modelled for the Steiff catalog posing with a donkey on wheels. Each Zotty Teddy bear comes with a copy of an old photo from that 1972 cataloge depicting Peter Hotz and his favorite cuddly animal . The custom-made photo frame calls to mind the green window panes in the Steiff factory hall.
Peter's Zotty is made from curly caramel tipped Schulte mohair, beige wool felt paw pads and inner mouth, classic Zotty turned down front paws, growler, open mouth, and tan mohair chest insert, dark brown hand stitched floss nose, and dark pupil safety eyes. A light blue ribbon and bow adorn Zotty's neck. Fully jointed, white tag with red lettering, box and certificate, made in Germany.
