The Little Mermaid is a well-known fairy tale by beloved Danish author Hans Christian Andersen. One of his most haunting stories, it tells about a young mermaid willing to give up her life in the sea and her identity as a mermaid to gain a human soul and the love of a human prince. The tale was first published in 1837 and has been a favorite of children and adults ever since.

The Little Mermaid comes outfitted in a beautiful mermaid costume made of pleated silk fabric woven with metallic threads. Her fishtail is covered by English bobbinette netting embellished with silver thread, tiny crystals and seed pearls.

The Little Mermaid comes enclosed in a deluxe presentation box with the accompanying signed and numbered certificate of authenticity and the forms for owner registration.
