After seeing the first panda in this country in 1937 Richrad Steiff began sketching the panda in order to make a toy version.  That panda was first produced in Decemer of 1938.  Steiff has had a panda in their line almost every year since that first toy panda appeard in 1938.

12"/30cm, 2022, Evander Panda is made from eco-friendly materials, his short very soft black and white coat is constructed from soy bamboo viscose plush along with his black paw pads.  He is filled with fibers from recycled PET bottles, he has dark pupil safety eyes, shaved muzzel, a hand stitched floss nose and mouth his arems are bent so he has both elbows and wrists. As a finishing touch Evander Panda wears a copper chest tag etched with the famous Steiff Elephant logo.  Fully jointed, made in Germany and certificate.
