Steiff offers a series of special Teddy bears, accompanied by commemorative medals, to honor the memory and legacy of Margarete Steiff, the founder of the Steiff Teddy Bear Co.

6"/16cm, 2014, First bear in series. Light grey short alpaca, white alpaca muzzle, black cord nose with a silver cross stitch to match the commerative metal, black cord mouth and claws on each paw, white wool felt pads, black safety eyes, commerative 1½" medal made from copper-nickel depicting Margarete Steiff holding a teddy bear on the front and additional Stieff animals on the reverse. The medal comes enclosed in a clear acrylic case. Fully jointed bear made in Germany.
