3",2015, It all began back in 1880 with 'the little elephant'. Margarete Steiff originally intended it to be a cute pin cushion. The children, however, grew fond of it as a toy. And so it became the forerunner to a limitless number of Steiff friends for life. On their 135th anniversary, Steiff now includes the felt elephant in the series of ornaments enclosed in hand-blown glass balls: 3 inches in diameter and made of high quality cream wool felt, just like in that time. A gold-plated button-in-ear and a bright red felt saddlecloth, fastened with Rocailles and the Steiff logo embroidered in gold thread, white satin hangng ribbon. Non Jointed.
